The Miracles
A Southern Gospel Group

Our Story
In the early 1970s, The Miracles were originally a trio consisting of Paul and Rose Singleton, along with Rose’s sister, Bobbie. Kent Cooley joined the group in 1974 as a 13-year-old piano player and remained with them for seven years, performing and playing the piano in local churches.
Two years ago, Kent and his father visited Rose and her daughter’s church after decades of not seeing them. They effortlessly sang two songs they had performed in the 1970s, as if time had stood still. A few weeks later, they repeated these songs at a tent revival in Archdale, North Carolina.
Rose remarked that evening, “I want to sing with Brother Cooley.” Kent playfully responded, “Rose didn’t say she wanted to sing with me. She wants to sing with my dad!”
The following day, Kent contacted Rose and Ann, inquiring about the possibility of launching “The Reunion Tour.” They expressed their busy schedules, but Kent suggested booking one event per month. Naturally, this was a subtle bait-and-switch tactic, as it would still require weekly rehearsals. In reality, they would now sing every weekend if given the opportunity.
The current lineup of The Miracles comprises Kent Cooley and his father, Dan Cooley, along with Rose Moody and her daughter, Ann Luther. This represents a father-son and mother-daughter team.
Our mission statement emphasizes the importance of the Lord and the Word of God over personal achievements. We prioritize the anointing, considering it the key to winning souls as it destroys the yoke (Isaiah 10:27).
